Correction: It isn't a place you want to raise a family, if you even have one. Its interesting; My wife's entire family lives here and not a single one is in prison or has been murdered....none are starving either. Pretty odd being that New Orleans is a 3rd world warzone ...

Also, my kids seem to love living here as much as we do! Our oldest attends the International School of Louisiana, a multilingual and multi-cultural Immersion school that recently ranked 29th out of 637 Elementary Schools in the state. My wife and I are helping her right now with a recital she has for an Assembly tomorrow morning.

Any pro n.o. residents are free to take out some life insurance & make me the beneficiary. Stay locked in your over-priced 40 yr old homes at night...
