i've been lurking for a while.
i live and work in birmingham at the moment. but i might be getting transferred to new orleans due to my office in homewood closing. i work for at&t (i miss bellsouth too) and i'm pretty stoked and hope this happens.
i need a change!
i also noticed more condos than apartments available. but that's all online. any apartment names i should look up? getting a loft would rule but i don't want to be broke constantly either. i'm interested in the garden district but i'm open for other areas.
any help would be great!

Not alot of apartments. People rent individual properties or one side of a shotgun is far more common.

thanks! i've been checking craigslist daily. some listings are a little shady though but that's craigslist for ya. (ha!)
i'm moving soon. got the call friday. my office will be on poydras so i'm looking in the lower garden district or near magazine. i want to just hop on the street car to work through the week. ahh saving gas is going to rule!
