just received my certification letter telling me i am on the waiting list for my apt and when one is available they will send me a notices to let me know
I applied in april 24 2005 and finallyi got my letter stating i got an apartment and they wanted me to see it and it stated i had ten days from the date that the letter was written to reply to the letter or i will be removed from the waiting list. Luckily i got the letter five days later (phew). I replied and saw my apartment on sept 4 2012 and on sept 6 i had to pay a downpayment and 1 months rent. The only problem is they said they will call me when the apartment is ready to pick up my key, wich is bad because i did not renew my lease and i have to get out by the 30th of sept 2012. I just hope they can get me in before hand. How long did it take for some of you to get your keys after the downpayment is paid????. I seen someone say 2 months. But has anyone gotten their keys any faster than that.?
I was approve in july 12 I called the managment office they told me it can take five years after ur approve but it also sounded like she was havin a bad day so I dont know what to believe
Im priority N1 i was certified for a. 1 bedroom in the entire borough of Manhattan since July 23, 2012 (exactly 3 months ago) im still waiting to be called. Hopefully it is nott too much longer since i have an entire borough to be selected for.
It took me almost five years (april 2008) to finally find out on 12-6-12 that my application is finally certified and I will soon be mailed a development listing. I live in Staten island. Does anyone know how long it'll be to get on a waiting list and see a apartment? Thank you
Good grief...what have you been doing for the past 5 years? Are you in the exact same predicament as 5 years ago? No change? How does someone with a screen name "desperate" stick around 5 years for public housing!
