Harlem resident you go!, Thanks for the info, my uncle resides out there, think i may give him a call. I know he will say "child' your city a** is triiiippin" lol his favorite quote.
I was just accepted for section 8, and I am working. I work for the city of New York. I also like in NYCHA. Which I'm really trying to find a decent place for my children and myself. It is so hard. With section 8 voucher. If someone can help me I would highly appreciate it. Thank you

You can be employed by anyone including federal or local governments and still qualify for Section 8; it goes by household income.
That being said have you seen the pay scales for some NYC civil servants? Most of us wouldn't get out of bed and **** for that kind of money; but someone has to hire all those graduates of the NYC public school system and CUNY.
Why do you think NYCHA has so many municipal workers? That and or why city forced developers to include set asides for municipal workers in all these "affordable" housing lotteries.
Saving grace of any NYC job is once hired and out of probation you can't be touched (fired) easily. This and of course there are bennies including a pension. Though if most one earns at retirement age is about $40K per, suppose that is something.

Don't City Workers get enough perks? Why do they need Section 8 for?
