They are not properly trained, and not making a lot of money is no excuse to do such a terrible job.

@moving415,

But that is the same excuse every city employee has when they themselves underperform.

The people working for Breaking Ground and Related and the Housing Partnership and the other marketing agencies are NOT city employees.

@MacNYC2003,

Do you mean they coincidentally happen to be of a certain ethnicity that has a track record for under performing like MTA employees and employees at the DMV and food stamp office?

@StephanieAngero18,

Are you referring to Hamilton Heights? If so, that is not a safe area. Neither is Sugar Hill.

The only safe places in Manhattan are 88th and Broadway and below. Anything higher is considered dangerous.

That's ridiculous. I had lived in the West Side of Inwood all of my life and have never had any problems. And I'm a single woman who used to come home around 1:00am.

If you look at crime stats, the higher crime rates are actually around midtown.

@StormGal,

I've gone to Inwood against my will to hang out with friends in their apartment. Low and behold I hear gun shots at the waning hours of the night. I come out, and drug dealers are in the lobby. I ask if they heard any sounds and replied it was firecrackers.

Firecrackers at 3am? Thanks, but no thanks Darnell. I do NOT believe it!!!! I know exactly what it was.

So when you’re verifying non payroll deposits, how detailed do you need to be? I have some Venmo cash outs which were probably comprised of payments from roommates for utilities and splitting random checks. Do I need to specifically explain where each part of that Venmo cashout came from?

I have so many Venmo payments without descriptions that are from either some paying me back for beer or food... is just saying “payment from friend for splitting check” sufficient? I also have some deposits on there from a stuff I sold on eBay... would they count that as income? It wasn’t a business or anything it was just some used random stuff I had laying around but it about $1400 worth of stuff.

Also when I go to get this notarized... will they just stamp it after I pay them? Never had anything notarized before so I’m not sure if they’re going to ask me to provide receipts or proof for all these payments.
