I won an apartment for 1765 prospect place and I dont know if I should take it and sign the lease

What the rent like ? It can be scary to have responsibilities but you won the lottery ! Take it trust me because if u don't 5-10 years from now when rent is $3,000-5,000 a month for non- luxury apartment you going to regret it

Honestly because of it being in brownsville. I live all the way in queens and Ive heard its not safe.

I did! And I feel you. Im just scared about whose going to live in the building and if its safe at night.Im only 22 y.o

Oh yea.. I understand your concern I recommend you go one day in the morning and just walk around the arena , maybe go at night (midnight - 1am with friends and check it how the scene ) that what I did before I moved in to this building

With these affordable/ low income apartments what happens after our lease is up ? Will they let us renew ? Will the rent sky rocket ? Curious ...not really knowledgable of this I guess

No the rent won't skyrocket up , it base off ur income but but I read it caps at 20% increase so for me it cap at $1033.00 even if I make $500,000 a year
