Thanks! We are signing for a one bedroom. They said we can't get a two bedroom because me and the other applicant are engaged...if we had a kid we could have a two bedroom. This means that they are now taking people from the general log. I don't think many units are left because I asked if we could see units to choose from and the guy said there may only be one other option for us, but possibly not.
To anyone who is curious -- I had an interview roughly a week and a half ago. Log # in the 4000s, no preference. Was told that there was a rush to fill the apartments. Lots of studios left, fewer one bedrooms (though she may have just been talking about my income group). They also said the city was processing applications faster and that I should hear back in 7 days...which didn't happen. So I'm still waiting.
My friend got called for an interview last week. She went and handed in her information. Management told her she made way to much money. They counted in her bonus with her income. They just handed her back her money order for the credit check and told her sorry.
Came back to say her log number 3,3xx and she had no CB preference.

Has anyone been able to find layouts/floor plans for the studio apartments? Or if you've been to the interview/are in one... do you have a rough square footage?
There's tons of layouts on Streeteasy (look for 7 Dekalb) for what I presume are the market rate 1BR and 2BR, but I haven't seen a thing for the studios.
Signed the lease and saw the apt today. It feels surreal. They said there are only about 30 apartments left total. I'm not sure of the exact breakdown. They need to have everyone moved in by November 1st. We were a log number in the low 2000s but some municipal employees signed leases today as did individuals with log numbers in the 3 and 4 thousands. Not sure exactly the numbers. Aparently Winn Residential recommends lots of people to the city but the city has been very picky and turned a lot of those people down.
Good luck everyone! I can't wait to meet my new neighbors.
