Well I originally had a studio in the west tower. She did say that since March the east tower was available. I’m not sure if my new apartment is in the east tower yet. I actually won’t know until tomorrow.

Did they explain why or how that switch was made?

Yes this lady was amazing and so patient! She explained everything to me. So what happened with the community board madness; they couldn’t find anymore people in cb to fill up the 50% preference that they originally had set aside for them. Now the reason why they couldn’t do general population is because HPD told them that they couldn’t move on until they filled up cb. But till this day they couldn’t fill up the 90 cb units, so HPD finally gave them a audit. The other units that they couldn’t fill up with cb they let breaking ground give them away to general population. She said they were about 8 units given from cb to general population, I asked her why was I given a studio and she told me they were scared they wouldn’t have enough 1 bedrooms so they automatically gave people studios but she said that if I wanted a 1 bedroom she would switch it for me on the spot since my log number was so low and I could’ve been a assigned a one bedroom to begin with.

Thank you so much for the helpful information! I was on the phone with my mom speculating that same thing. That maybe they couldn't find enough people for CB and that's why it was taking so long. I know everyone's situation is different but I was thinking if you already live in that nice neighborhood it seems unlikely you'd be in the income range for the lottery to begin with. But who knows. Thanks for the update!

Are the equiments (like Bosch washer/dryer) same as market apartments?
Thanks
Do not bring your friends to view the apartment. Do you know how ignorant and ratchet that seems?? It's not a party. It's a viewing for tenants. I'm sure you could wait until your lease begins to bring your crew around.
