Congrats on your new 🏡 I wanna peep the pics. Yes the funeral home is a eyesore. I hate the fact they deconstructed the White Castle which used to be on the corner of 149tth & southrn boulevard

I'll be next tomorrow. It's no 3 bedroom, but I hope I get a big living room. I'm a social butterfly! lol

I have 2 full baths, coat closet, and pantry.

Signing my lease next week and can move in that weekend if I choose. They let you check out only 1 apt. If you don't like it, they move on to the next person. Also have only 24 hours to call wavecrest and accept your apt.

I'm happy I saved a few grand because coming up with $2400 in 1 week would've been stressful!!!!

Thanks everyone!!!!
Omg sound so exciting so then they definitely pass the TCO. They let you move in on the weekend and did you see anyone else? What floor did you get? Who showed you the apartment? Damn 24 hrs.... and why 2400 how much is the rent? What do you pay and what you don't you pay?

The rent is $1,200. Most of the time (if you're lucky), you have to pay one month rent and security deposit up front. Some landlords can ask for more if you're credit score is on the lower side. Not sure how that rule ties in with affordable housing, though.

They only have viewings for 1 family at a time. Super told me 7 ppl seen their apts today so far. I pay $1196 per month so it's first months rent and security deposit which totals up to basically $2400. Only other ppl in the building were the construction workers. Elevators still have boards. 2nd floor terrace is coming along reallllly nice! I can't wait to use it this summer!

Girlllllllllll (I can't believe that just came out, lol)

Your pictures just gave me the chills. It's beautiful! I need that living room! lol

I'm probably gonna have a hard time sleeping tonight because they scheduled my viewing at 8:30 in the morning. I'm way too hyper and excited!

Congrats again.

And to all who's going through the process, just know that you can possibly be next. And even if you aren't, more doors will open up. I've gotten a door shut in my face (a very nice door, so it hurts), but I didn't give up.

Be patient, keep applying, and one day you will get what you deserve.

Things happen for a reason. Use that time to fix the mistakes, and make it right!
