I applied for a 1br and I got offered a studio and I’m taking it, I’m very grateful to be offered one of these beautiful apartments. I feel blessed.

Me too. I have literally seen a good 20 apartments and have rejected them all from reasons to no W/D and even if I don’t like the view

I think the reason for that comment was because the OP was feeling entitled to a larger apartment size vs other ppl

I think OP had too much furniture. That’s ok, it happened to me too. I winded up throwing a lot of it away and later missed the furniture (although not my old apartment).

I don’t know why people treated this as if it’s controversial to turn down a lottery apartment. People do it all the time for various reasons. Read the post from winners who are filled with regrets in their new places and you’ll learn the benefits of choosing wisely. Your home has to suit you in more than one way, affordable or market rate.
