This is one of the weirdest lotteries I've been a part of. The management company doesn't respond to e-mails and does not want to divulge which lottery number they are up to. HPD says the management company has no reason to hide the numbers and told me the number they were up to, which I will not speak on for anonymity. I will say from what I heard there are very, very few units left.
Still, all of this is very weird. Multiple people have come forward with the 2 different log number situation. HPD does not understand why that is the case. There seems to be no transparency on the Realtor companies side, meaning at any time they can skip a number and no updates have been made on the Housing Connect website. It seems they had almost 400-500 people submitting documents for only 10 studio units. Seems like a waste of time for all of us. I don't want to say too much more unless others are having the same issues, maybe it was just me.
There needs to be much more transparency in these situations if private companies are going to be the companies handing out affordable apartments. Especially when these apartments are subsidized by our taxes.
ANyone who has gotten an apt in this building-what are your thoughts> Are the 1 bedrooms small-what is building like? noise, ect? any apts left?Thx
