Thanks for the input. If years down the road my income increases (I hope) then I guess someone else that needs the studio should have it instead. I checked the option with terrace or nothing. Also does anyone know when you get a login to check status?

Not sure, but have you monitored your $50 check and/or money order? I think whether or not that has been activated/cashed would be a pretty good barometer of when you might be getting your login, at least I doubt it happens until they know your $$ is good.

I got an application today for a two bedroom. They are asking for copy of your license, $50 money order and a passport picture. the passport picture is very weird to me I have never seen this before on any application.

wait, so even if you're under the income limit for the larger apartments, they will disqualify you if they happen to have a smaller apartment when they call you??? I thought they would keep you on the list until the bigger apartment comes up!

We received a letter today to get on the list for a 2 bedroom--yay! But on the letter it says they may access consumer reports when reviewing the application. We do not have good credit as we were both laid off during recession. Does anyone know if they might reject our application because of our credit? Also we should be able to turn our fredit around while we are on the wait list but does anyone who lives at Penn South know what credit score you have to have to be able to get an apt there? Thanks!!!

We got an app for a 2-bedroom on Friday and I'm just getting around to reading it and seeing that this is in fact an amazing "win" of sorts.

For other applicants who have sent their form in, did you just paperclip the passport photo to the form? I didn't really see a spot to attach it. Thanks in advance!

And Brooklynmom, would you really need good credit just to be added to a 10-20 year waiting list? Seems like that's more than enough time to get your credit in order. In any case you should send it in -- never hurts to try!

i didnt see anything on the application that said your credit will be check to be PUT on the waiting list. I know in 10 years when they call you, then they will need you to have good credit. but i have never heard of any waiting list that needs you to have good credit just to be put on the list

also, I think I am going to paperclip the passport photo

I will attest that I paperclipped. Of course, I haven't received any communication back so I don't know if I did it right or wrong.

I know this is silly nervousness about doing everything right-but do I just return the application to the address at the top of the application? It's not to any department's attention, and is simply: Mutual Redevelopment Houses, Inc. 321 Eighth Avenue New York, NY. Usually these sorts of forms specify an address somewhere on the form or an "attention to."
