Sorry I gave incorrect advice about pay stubs. My daughter wasn’t asked for them.

That's exactly what I'm going to do! Increase my contributions to 401k and FSA/HSA accounts. Thanks for the insight!

For those in this group who have financed an apartment at Penn South, did you have an attorney to close? Penn South hasn't mentioned that to me and the couple of people I know who have bought in Penn South didn't have an attorney, but my bank's lawyer is adamant that I need one. I think he's just doing his due diligence, but as far as I understand there's nothing to negotiate from a property lawyer's perspective with Penn South right?

Correct, we didn't have an attorney, we used ABE Federal Credit Union to finance our apt.

Thank you! That's what I thought and I've asked a couple of other residents that I know as well and no one seems to have used an attorney. Very helpful to have these data points

More data for the 2-bed list folks: We are now at #9 on the external list. Last May we were at #18, so it could be up to 1 more year before we're offered an apartment.

I'm shocked that you are number 9 and they're not calling you already!

Have you seen any apartments at all? Or have you seen apartments, accepted them, and they went to other applicants?

I am currently #2 on the 1 bed list but I am on hold.

Oh, they call me plenty. I think I've seen 12 apartments by now. I just never get offered any of them.

I'm so glad you moved at last! 120s could be more like 8 years? Hopefully faster!
