Hey everyone so I applied for a apartment.. I got to actually sign the tenant certification that was sent through DocuSign due to the covid19 everything was Done through fax and email (which had the amount of rent I’ll be paying, Unit #, etc) Which was on the 31st. I email the person who is in charge of my application today to find out the status of & if it was sent to HDC. She replies I’m on the waiting list due to low number that she will contact me when she gets something for me and my bracket .. Keep in mind I’m 2,xxx and also I never even received a waiting list letter to even let me know that I didn’t qualify anymore (still didnt get a email). So my question is can I sent HDC a email regarding what just happen ? Has anyone been put on a waiting list and contacted HDC about it and got off ? Please feel free to base your opinions or experiences.

Usually if you signed TIC documents, the unit number on that document is the unit you have been assigned... there may be people in front of you that has to be sent to HDC first due to lower numbers

Okay. That makes sense now. I was just confused. I thought they would Atleast notify me that I would be put on instead of me reaching out first. Thank you!

Ordinarily once you have a unit number you should be set, but they screw up pretty often, unfortunately.

Exactly that’s What I thought, don’t send me a unit # and then I have to email you to find out the status of my application to tell me I’m on the waiting list. That’s unprofessional to me. Atleast send the waiting list email out to me. But I did email them just to see what they say.

Wow that’s so messed up. Reading situations like this gets me so nervous because I’m in the process right now submitting requested documents and reading things like this that happens to others makes me nervous because I have a 1 year old and another baby on the way and my family desperately needs to move. Let us know what they tell you if you can hopefully things can turn Around for you because that’s pretty messed up. I’m sure you got so excited and they ruined that for you.

They literally do this ALL THE TIME .. I went through 3 housing interviews and always get the same response ( my # too large and I’m put on the waitlist ) .. I be giving up sometimes .. Because it causes anxiety Lml.. But they wrote me back within 1 day and told me they approved of my application but they going by order so if they get to my number they will call me ( Mind you I’m 2,xxx ) So hopefully I get called back soon smh. But seriously good luck to you and your family .. you need it more then me .. I just want to get out my parents house

Wow smh. Yeah that kind of stuff does eventually make you lose hope. My log # is 1xx so I’m really hoping that if we get approve that we can actually move.
