Yeah, I've crossed that bridge from East Harlem to shop in that Target, back in the day. But if you look at it with the eyes of the pedestrian, you see you basically have to cross under (or over?) the Major Deegan to go anywhere from the building. Very unappealing, especially for older people, or people with young kids. No doubt that contributed to the availability of the land for this project, just as Essex Crossing's area being smack-dab at the foot of the Wburg helped keep that section run-down commercial for decades.
I hope the project thrives and people are happy there, but just getting across Delancey is stressful enough!
