Hello! I don't see much information on the affordable housing homeownership side, thought I'd ask!

Anyone have any idea how long the income verification takes when applying for the purchase of an apartment? The reason I ask is that I put in an application for a lottery, but in about 5 months I'll be up for a promotion that might push me out of the income range.

I want to know if 5 months is too little time to get my income verified, and whether I should even bother trying with the application.

Any other insights into the timeline of purchasing an affordable unit would be greatly appreciated. Is it as competitive as rentals? How long does the entire application process last up until you sign contracts? Do they calculate income multiple times throughout the process?

If it’s Charlie west, it said it will be contacting people anywhere from 2 to 10 months after application deadline. That’s just the initial connect, not even full blown income calculation

Thank you so much. I'm upset and relieved at the same time haha.

Once you get picked the process moves relatively quickly. Just way fewer people to process than for a rental lottery.
