Thanks for sharing! I have a question, if any of us in here is interested on one of those rent stabilized listings but the lottery was closed already, will we still be able to apply? If so, how?

Yes and no.

No, you will not be able to apply to the initial live lottery.

Yes, you can still get a shot by making sure you are signed up for "re-rentals".
This will be found in your Housing Connect account under Housing Choices.

Once an applicant moves out of a unit, it is our responsibility to fill that unit.
At that point we do a "mini lottery" for each individual available apartment.

All log numbers are assigned again completely at random by HPD.

Let me know if you have more questions!

Wait does this mean once the initial units are all filled up, the remaining numbers are no longer valid? I had assumed the list would be kept for future vacancies.

Yes, waitlists are still being kept.

I was referring to if/when our original "logbook" of applicants becomes exhausted.

Right!!!! I agree. I feel like there are no affordable low income lotteries at all in queens. They are all popping up in Bronx and Brooklyn.

This will be our upcoming project in Queens. I hear there is another building over by The Astor that we will have too.
