Lol a major what?
I wouldn’t mind the in unit washer and dryer too it’s basically the same as paying $15-20 doing laundry every 2 weeks in the basement or elsewhere

I live in 3 bed/2 bath. In unit w/d. The brand is Blomberg. We use the machine every day basically, total electric cost is 90-130 during winter and 135-180 summer/AC running. I think these machines are pretty energy efficient. I was expecting to pay way more.

If I had my own washer/dryer, I would never want to be without one!!!

When I downsized many years ago to save money on rent, I gave up a doorman, a dishwasher, and a second bathroom. I still miss those things!

What I feel I can't no longer accept is a unit that doesn't have 2 bathrooms! I really really like having my own bathroom in my bedroom lol.

I recently applied to the 266 Kent lottery but then I noticed that some 2br units only had 1 bathroom and I just can't justify paying $300 more in rent to lose a bathroom lol

I lived a prewar building prior to my lottery apartment my electric in the winter was anywhere from $60-$80, so no dishwasher, w/d, or water heater. Now I have all those appliances and my electric in the winter is anywhere from $80-$120. In the summers I use to see my cost in the prewar anywhere from $100-$190. Now I see it's anywhere from $150-$190.
Wow, two bathrooms is really a luxury!

My current alcove studio (lottery) unit has W/D, dishwasher, & individually controlled central heating/cooling, I paid electricity between $55-$65/month which is cheaper actually from my previous apartment (market rate) that was also a studio but with no W/D & dishwasher, only AC. Heating was centralized by the building & laundry in-building, I still paid the electricity around $83/month.

Couldn't agree more on the 2 bath comment!

LOL I agree! I also have a walk in closet as well in my bedroom! The second bedroom has a double door closet so it's pretty huge. Honestly I'm super spoiled now lol and I haven't seen better lottery units on HC2 that I would be willing to leave what I have now. Another thing I don't think I can downgrade anymore is a master bedroom that won't fit my king size bed! NOW that and the second bathroom is definitely an absolute must for me.

Not that much added to the electric bill.
