I had a log# of 5x,xxx and won an amazing apartment. You have to take into account the unit availability. Generally i feel on avg they go through 200-300 applicants per unit available before getting one that qualifies and wants the apartment. That is for Manhattan in the lower AMI 60 and w/cb or some other preference. Without any preferences I think it is 50 applicants per apartment This is just a guess not only by knowing my log numbers when I have been called for an interview but also because before winning the apartment I was always in this forum. People sometimes give their log number and mention if they were called for an interview. If you go to specific lottery threads on this forum and search for log numbers you can get an idea of the highest # called / preference or no preference and then look up that past lottery and see how many units were available. Just do some research here for the area you are applying for and you can guesstimate.

You are welcome. Thanks for saying so.

( Btw, if you search the internet and find “Mitchell Lama Connect”, there is two bed lottery there in Queens. A co-op, but the price might be attractive to you. There are other ML buildings in Queens, some are City administered others are State administered, two different pages to search. )
