Hi guys! So, I am not currently in this predicament, but I am thinking about a career change and wanted to know how it would affect me if I got selected and moved into an apartment. I know that you don't get kicked out of the apartment if you get a raise, but what about if your salary LOWERS? For example, say I'm on the bottom end of 125% AMI currently and get placed in an apartment, but then start a new career that bumps me down out of that AMI. What happens then? I imagine they don't just kick you out, but if you can legitimately no longer afford the rent at that particular AMI because of your new salary, are you able to stay in the same apartment but now be considered 80% AMI? OR are there specific apartments that are designated ONLY for particular AMI brackets (ie, Apartment D-4 is strictly a 125% AMI apartment and no one who falls outside that bracket can live in it)? I hope I'm making sense. This is all theoretical right now, but I want to have my options straight if the cards happen to fall that way... Thanks!
You won't get kicked out, but your rent remains the same. If you can no longer afford it, you need to take in a roommate, get a side job, or move to a cheaper apartment.

That's sorta what I figured, thank you!
