Me again
My application is now "Under Review" on the Housing Connect website (not just "In Process") even though I was told they don't necessarily anticipate getting to my log number. From anyones experience, is that a better sign?
I'm not sure... Let us know if you reached out and asked them. I know that my application for Eagle is " Under Review " but no one has ever contacted me and it's been months (pretty sure none are left...).
My bf was assigned a unit and got approved by HPD but they said that they need to process other applicants with lower log numbers first... So not quite sure what's going to happen...
I just wanted to share my timeline for those of you who are still hopeful:
Log 6xxx, 80% AMI
Jan 23 - Contacted to submit documents
Feb 6 - Deadline for documents
Feb 9 - Received email that documents were received and they reached my log to continue the process. I was asked to fill out an office questionnaire and affidavit of bank statements. I guess there is no eligibility interview anymore.
Feb 17 - Unit Tour Request
Feb 18 - Saw unit
Feb 21- Got rejected for not meeting income requirements. I submitted an appeal the same day
Feb 22- Rejection was overturned and my application was put back in process
Mar 1 - Received a ton of documents to sign
Mar 3 - Signed more documents and consented to a credit check.
Mar 7 - Signed TIC and file was sent to HPD
March 10 - HPD approved the file
March 15 - Was contacted by Brookfield to sign lease
May 1 - Lease start date
Extra info:
Amenities are $100 a month
Outdoor pool is $700 a season
Parking is $285 a month
When I was there there were a lot of apartments still left in both 80% AMI and 130% AMI.
I’ve been contacted by Settlement Housing before and they are notoriously slow. But once they actually reach your number everything happens really fast. I hope this helps anyone still waiting. Please let me know if you have any questions about the process. I’ve gone through several other housing lottery document requests but this was the only one that actually pulled through!

Congratulations! And thank you for this helpful info.
What size apartment are you leasing? I am hoping for a 2 bedroom.
So they have contacted me to submit docs, I’m log #8xx and 125AMI, 1 was told there are no 1BR left. Am following up anyway as the building looks so nice, even though I was hoping to graduate from studio living
I had to forget about this apartment because the anxiety of being so close but no preference sucks
I’d still definitely take a studio or a re rental. Log 1xxx
