Yes! Born and raised as well and my goodness I think this person finds it comical to come up here and state ignorant and negative remarks!

That makes no sense. What if your family is here, your life, your hopes and dreams and this is where you want to live. So many people who have spent there whole life working to make a better life from themselves and for their children, here in NYC and your commentary is that if you can not afford this city save and get out?. You are very cavalier in that statement as if it is that easy. I can tell you as a fact it is not. Trying to save up when rent keeps climbing is not an easy feat. NYC is a struggle but if people were not willing to struggle for it would it be the city it is. We struggle we, fight we survive and we grow, that is what New Yorkers do. Those who want to leave do, those who feel they have no other choice do as well but the rest of us we may not have stars in our eyes, our feet may be tired from walking the streets looking for a place but we choose to continue and sometimes we grow brilliantly. You don't have to like or even approve of us and what we are going through but you will have to accept that we are here and have always been here and will always be here fighting the fight to have the right to perhaps not struggle as hard the next turn of the wheel.

Wow. That person's comments are always so negative and unhelpful! Laughable, really.

NYC’s Affordable Housing Crisis Puts Deference to City Council and Local Opposition Under Scrutiny : https://www.thecity.nyc/2022/9/27/23...ms-throgs-neck

“We believe that without a tax break like 421-a we won’t get housing in certain areas of the city"

The discussion of how affordable these units will be is not being stressed enough in my opinion.
