It’s funny you say this because I check my applications DAILY in hopes of magically seeing a lower log #. Surprised this actually happened to someone else!

Well, I have never heard of such a thing. I hear all the time that people get confused. I don’t have the explanation.

We can take screen shots and/or print out our log#s.

Not sure what you mean by this. Feel like you’re implying that I’m lying

Do you mean a particular lottery? I don’t know it. (Never mind, I see it.)

Both him and I have never had a log number below 700. So this extremely low log number would’ve stood out, but it was forsure 4,XXX something prior to today

There is a difference between Log # vs. Application #.

Log #'s are not assigned until after the application date closes. When you apply and receive your email confirmation from Housing Connect it will list an Application #, this is more to keep track of the applications received.
The Log# determines what order you will be contacted.

There are cases when people may have multiple Log #'s because they have duplicate applications (multiple Housing Connect profiles using different emails/usernames). If this is the case the Marketing Agent processing the log is obligated to use the higher Log # when processing.

HPD makes clear that the ability to change Log # does not exist, this is true at least from the Marketing Agent's standpoint.

My friend only has 1 housing connect profile. prior to that day on her 1 profile her log number was 4k. Then he got an email to upload documents and saw that the number was now lower. Most application number start with the number 1 and the number is in the millions so the 4k number she saw couldnt have been an application number
