That is just a small sample size of people that post on this forum. Stuytown is literally right there and hardly anybody would turn their nose up if they could get that deal.

Here’s a data point:

I actually was called to submit documents when they reached my log # in mid 2020 (applied in 2018) by breaking ground on the FIRST lottery. After that, they told me that the unit that they wanted to show me was taken by a person with a lower log number than mine, and that I’d be put “on a waiting list”. Of course, between 2020 and 2022, breaking ground was dropped as the marketing agent and the developer started doing this “waiting list” lottery on their own. On checking in mid 2022, i was told “you were dropped from the waiting list’. The developer didn’t care - “go pound rocks”, Breaking ground avoided all emails and calls and HPD was like “whatever, you are not on any list, we don’t do lists” - and this was when the call was escalated to a “manager”.

Just a terrible process.

Breaking Ground has a very bad reputation. Almost every year I read that someone had a bad experience with them. I’m glad I’ve never dealt with them.

do you really think so, there are 4 total units that are being offered. I dont imagine 16 people not qualifying before me ?

What i find weird is there is no listing activity or floorplans or photos of the units, even streeteasy has only one 2 bed apartment with a balcony, i am sure that wont be being offered for affordable.

If anyone has any resources for floorplans or actual photos could they share it
