Sure being asked for more docs is good. However it does not necessarily mean you will get a unit. Nor does it mean that the process will move as fast as we want it to move.
My log number is 347, and I was asked to submit documents in August. They initially denied my application because I didn’t have any job stubs from my new job. However, I appealed and provided the offer letter. (Hpd declared that the agency had to accept this as proof of income.)
Once I got HPD involved in the process, they asked me to email all my documents. Followed by a request to sign a release form for my tax return and an affidavit to surrender any other property in my name, and they asked if I wanted to submit 12 rent checks or provide a credit report.
That was all before long the weekend. That also warned me that I need to be ready to move 30 days after being approved by HPD. I hope this is a good sign!
