The external waitlist for 1 bedrooms has been updated this week. For the first time in two years there is movement! 14 spots, actually. It’s not easy to find info about these buildings online. Does anyone know costs, layouts, have photos, etc? Thank you.

The links below seem to contain “First Atlantic” in posts. But you have to open the threads. Poke and scroll around a bit to see if anyone mentions costs. They might have increased but perhaps not by much. Layouts, floor plans, photos are scarce for Mitchell Lama on the web. Perhaps because the price/rent/monthly fee are such powerful selling points and waitlists are very long. Columbia U has an online archive of real estate brochures, sometime original floor plans and such can be found in this archive. Search on bldg name, and separately with street address.

Thank you, WildAboutHarry. I searched the forums for “Atlantic Terminal” (your links didn’t work for me, unfortunately). I’ll look into your other suggestions. I’m also reaching out to Metro Management. I’ll come back here to post what I find out in case anyone else is interested.

You are welcome.
Other info to get along the way is how many of 200 units are one bedrooms, Metro might know this. Generally, Mitchell-lama buildings have attractive financial terms compared to other options. I suspect you know that already.

Also, it’s possible the government records when a unit changes hands and this might have price info. I don’t know where to look for that info if it exists as I described. Ask at the Brooklyn Public Library maybe.

Here’s a link to the list of MLs with open waiting lists. I remember First Atlantic Terminal always being open, not sure why because it seems to be a well-favored development.

About 4-5 years ago I wrote to the management company requesting an application. I remember now, I brought the completed application in person back to the management office on premises. I was impressed with the inside of the building and the friendliness of the staff. The list moved so slowly that I kind of put it on the back burner. Now suddenly my log number is in the single digits.

Great ideas, thank you. I thought I’d seen info about the number of 1 bedrooms but I can’t find it now. I’ll ask the management company when I contact them.
