I have a high log with cb preference but haven’t been picked yet. What AMI are you in and how many units are available? I heard it usually depends on those 2 things. If you’re in the higher ami, you’re more likely to get picked especially if there are a lot of units available.
I got contacted for The Gilbert - 232 E 54th St. lottery back in December. My log was 126XX with CB preference. I didn't pursue it though.
Were there a lot of units available? I have log 107XX and cb/me preference for 539 Vanderbilt but there are only 80 units available and I qualify for the 70/80 AMI. After calculations it might be 80/130 AMI. Wondering what my chances are.
There were only 40 units offered at 70% & 130% AMIs (I'm at 130% AMI) so it's 50% less than what 539 Vanderbilt offered.
With this housing lottery, the chances your log is getting reached out is there but whether or not your preferred unit is available, that's the tricky part especially if you want to get 2BR/3BR unit because those are not many being offered.

Yeah that’s the tricky part. I just realized 539 Vanderbilt doesn’t have 2 Bedrooms in the 80 Ami which is so dumb to me. My only other option would be 130% ami units and I would never ever lol. My file was just submitted to HPD at a different location so fingers crossed for that. Can you even leave a lottery apartment for another?
