Hello all,
I just got contacted to submit documents for my first lottery! Feeling very excited, but also a bit worried. I did not update my income in my application when my household income went up. We are still within the AMI band, but do you know if this will disqualify us? Has anyone had this experience?

Thank you!

You will be fine, if your updated income is in the AMI band you have nothing to worry about. If you are not self employed it is easier as your new paystubs will reflect your new income. To make things even easier if you are an employee have your employer give you a letter reflecting your current income / position / hire date and promotion date etc.

I was approved this summer for a building in this same situation. My new income was higher but still in range and they didn't mind at all. Your application is just the initial screening anyway, they have to do a full review if your current situation to determine if you qualify for an apartment. As long as you can prove everything, you will be fine. Good luck!

Technically you are supposed to update your household information on HC whenever there is a change in composition, address, income, etc. With the new HC, when you update your app, it auto updates for all building's you've applied to that haven't contacted you yet for docs. You want to make sure you do this because what you put in out profile is the initial screening when your log is reached for a particular building, if your info is out of date, you may not be contacted for a building you do qualify for if you appear to not qualify based on what's in your app, and conversely, you may be contacted for something you don't qualify for anymore.
