Should've added this to my prior thread but forgot!

I live with my mom and pay her rent. Do I need to add the amount I pay her to the letter that I provide stating that I live with her? I read somewhere that this does not qualify as renting and therefore it doesnt matter what I pay her.

No I was living with my dad and not on his lease. Just have your mother write a letter stating that you’re not on her lease and you reside with her paying X amount in rent and it has to be notarized so both of you can go to a notary public (TD notarized for free you both just bring ID) and you’ll be good to go.

I wasn’t paying rent living with my dad so I did the credit check. You pay rent so I believe you can choose the option of showing proof of 12 months of payment
