Is it just me, or is Reside New York a joke. They have amazing reviews when googled but it’s seems like they ask everyone for documents and I don’t really see anyone making progress. Has anyone had a good experience with this company?

I have. I reviewed them on Google as well like 2 months ago. People have to realize that they're not just catering to one lottery. They're actually in charge of reviewing documents for a couple of lotteries. It takes time and not everyone who requests documents get an apartment, appliants can no longer qualify, etc, or you could be waitlisted. Also not every lottery applicant is going to be on citydata. So that could be another reason why you're not seeing progress.

Thank you for your response. I’m glad you can attest to a good experience. From what I’ve seen, they’ve consistently asked for an unreasonable amount of applicants to submit information. For me personally, I’d rather not share my information unnecessarily.

The marketing agents give conflicting information, so it becomes confusing. I think we ( I lol) need to come to terms with submitting documents and whatever happens happens.

Also, this is not my first bad experience with reside; the first having nothing to do with a waiting game.

You're welcome! I know the document game oohh so well. Lol I got asked to submit documents by October 20, didn't get asked for addition docs until the until December 16, saw the apartment on the December 19, did my paperwork 2 days later. And got approved on January 4th. Now I'm just waiting to sign the lease and pay everything. I was CB by the way.

The whole time I was waiting I thought I was skipped because I was supposed to get a response back in 6-8 weeks.. There were some people who got called for another lottery and took the other lottery, etc. I think these lotteries are unpredictable and I guess Reside expects stuff like this to happen so they call more people to submit docs just incase. It's hard waiting to see how things play out, I called them so many times lol and was about to look for a private apartment.

Lol. That sounds like what I’m going through. I’m going to see it through. A lot of what you said makes sense, Reside would know the process better than us. Im kind of bias because of my first experience but every time is different. I’m CB as well, I can see the building every time I walk out of my house

Oh, wow that's really close! I'm about 20 minutes away from the building I'm going to. Hopefully this time is different from your first experience. Good luck!
