Hi - recently completed the apartment visit phase of the application process and was wondering if anyone had insight into how income decreases are handled when they are due to a disability.
Last time documents were requested, total household income exceeded the maximum. Since then, one of the household members has had to resign from their job, as a result of their disability. Household income is now within the requirements for the apartment that was visited.
Any insight into how a situation like this is handled when it comes to income verification? There wasn't a new document request before visiting the apartments, so wondering if there's a way to avoid an auto denial, if an appeal would possibly be successful, and if there are any documents that we should prepare.

Also see page 33 (?) in the Marketing Handbook on appeals. I hope your prevail. You should update your profile online. Perhaps this will get forwarded. See if you can reach out to someone to alert them to your household’s change in income. This could be a challenging process.
Thanks again. Yeah, I'm wondering if the language regarding appeals on that page ("The applicant’s
place on the log is maintained while the appeal is under review") means the apartment, if available, would be held for us until the completion of the appeal. Would hate to win the appeal but then be told the unit is no longer available.
Tried updating the profile information but it doesn't stick, even after a save. Will keep trying.
