My parents live in NYCHA and I moved out from the apartment 2 years ago, and now I am moving back in temporarily for the next 6 months until I have my next place ready. Because it is temporary, I don't think it's absolutely necessary to add my name back to the lease only to remove it 6 months later down the road.

I am still applying for places on housing connect and want to update my address on it. When I had my name on my parents' NYCHA apt, and was contacted for an apartment on HC. I recall one of the documents requested was a NYCHA lettering proving residency or removal (I can't remember), but now that I am only moving back temp, would it make sense to I update my current address on housing connect to my parent's apt and note it's NYCHA when I'm not even on my lease? In the case that my application is reached out and HC requests the same document, I wouldn't be able to provide it because I'm not on the lease. So, what can I do here? I pay for their rent and all the bills, so the only thing is my name is just not on the NYCHA lease. I don't want to get my parents in trouble with NYCHA for having someone reside there unofficially, but all my expenses' address are now listed in my parents' address.

Or should I just put down no residing address as my name is nowhere currently?
