Based on Brooklyn23 and Suddenly0123, it is taking several weeks for approvals lately.

It took me 4 business days but i think it depends on your file. If you have a regular salary job, it’ll be faster than if you have you own business or a contractor. Good luck!

Congrats! About how long after submitting your documents on HC did the marketing agency review and then submit to HPD? I've been waiting about a week now, and not sure if I should call the agency since no e-mail was provided.

Thanks!

Thank you! I applied in November 2022. Then was asked to upload my docs on HC2 website in mid March 2023. After a month (mid April 2023) the marketing agency contacted me for more documents. I was invited to view the apartment in the end of April and in the first week of May my files were submitted to the City for approval. As I mentioned, it took them 4 weeks to review and approve. I think that the reason for that is the whole building was put on hold for some reason. Once I was approved, I signed the lease the very same day.

Oh, and yes, contact your agency just to be sure that things don't fall into the cracks. Good luck!

Can I ask if the marketing agency reached out in between the 4 weeks to give you an update? Not that it's necessary but I was just wondering. I guess it's normal to wait a few weeks.

I don't have a problem with HPD taking their time but I don't want to be forced to move last minute and having the lease be rushed.
