All new buildings are now being constructed with this type of window. You don’t see window guards because they don’t open up like a standard window. The mechanism doesn’t allow the window to open past 4 inches. It’s also pretty much standard for these new apartments not to have light fixtures in the rooms. You will typically see one at the entrance, hallway and bathroom.

You have to fill out a form up to 2 small dogs or cats I believe they have to approve you

There is a no pet policy that they state they will enforce. It was on the lease. They state that the only exceptions they will possibly make is service animals but all animals have to be approved by the building. While I was reading the lease they seemed pretty adamant about absolutely no pets
