Ok, this makes the 2nd thread IN MY LIFE that I have posted. I'm hoping I get great feedback on this.
I'm interested in The Northrose Apartments being built on 161st & 3rd Ave in the Bx. I'm familiar with the transportation & the area but I'm wondering are these the only buildings their buidling up right now. I'm going to attempt to apply for an appartment BUT this lottery pick always rub me the wrong way. This is the reason I'm asking is anyone aware of any other buildings they currently have or are building (other then the above)?
I currently live in the Aurora Condominiums on Washington between 159th & 160th. So far the other developments I know of that are built or in the process of being built are La Terraza which is going up on the corner of 158th and Third; Coutland Corners which is going up on the corner of 161st and Courtland, the Eltona on 156th between Elton and Melrose which just recently started occupancy, Dorado apartments on 156th and Third. There's a lot of development going on in the area, you can do a web search and find out other information on current or future construction.
WOW, Thank you for all this information. I currently live by the Bronx Zoo & had no idea all these places were being built or currently accepting applications. Where are you finding this information? Is there a website I can go on too see this information?
This development is really impressive and is part of a much larger redevelopment of the area. The owner of the old, historic Courthouse is also in the process of redeveloping that as well. You will see lots of new developments going up in and around the Northrose, mostly green developments, along with parks and tons of trees. I want to live there too!
I always wondered what happens when people get in these apartments and then improve their financial standing down the road or get married, thus increasing their income. Do the apartment owners have the right to evict them? Do they check their income and household composition on a regular basis?
It's a standard rent for the amount of bedrooms you want.
