"that requires someone convicted of a sex offense against a child under the age of 13 to begin chemical castration a month before being released from custody."?
It is amazing how advanced the south had gone in terms of child protection, while NY is still struggling with solving housing needs and homeless problem.
I support a strong justice system and punishing people who break the law. However, I draw the line at physical mutilation and forcibly injecting chemicals into people. Imagine a wrongfully convicted person subjected to this. It also violates the Constitution in my opinion and would be rightfully struck down.
I do not support this as it is not the proper penalty for sex crimes with children. The only effective penalty is death and anything less is pathetically effete. Society has gone soft on degeneracy.
