Personally, I think this is hilarious.

JetBlue attendant slides down emergency chute after fight with passenger - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20100809/od_yblog_upshot/jetblue-attendent-slides-down-emergency-chute-after-fight-with-passenger - broken link)

Listen, I want to deploy the slide and I haven't worked in an airplane for 28 years like he has.

Another impressive detail: he drove his car to his home. He has a parking space!

It is really funny, but everyone has a breaking point and the passenger was not listening to directions.

I had 1 friend who is a flight att, so I have heard really funny stories in my day !!

I heard about it on the radio and they said that the passenger's carry on hit the attendant on the head and when he asked him for an apology, the passenger cursed at him. Also, it appears that the flight attendant had a recent death in the family or something. While, he probably needs to keep his cool...I'd say the passenger sounds like an A$$. I'm interested to hear the stories from the other passengers.

Man, I tell you, every person who has worked in the service industry has fantasies of doing something crazy like this. We're supposed to be all smiles all the time, but for those who haven't worked in this kind of job, it's AMAZING how horribly people can treat you. As nightcrawler said, everyone has their breaking point!

Too bad he got arrested. He flips after someone blatantly ignores him, drops their bag on his face, and curses him out for it, and now his picture and name are all over worldwide news sources, and he faces jail time or a fine. He will not be able to find another job for a long time. His life is basically ruined.

I disagree, melt! This is America!

Here's what will happen:

-- he makes the talk show rounds
-- he hosts Saturday Night Live
-- he gets a book deal
-- he gets a movie deal/reality show
-- he becomes a motivational speaker

he is all set!
