Yeah, I'm taking a big leap for this because I'm actually a young student helping my mother look for employment.
I was wondering if anyone knows if there are ANY teaching jobs, especially for those in special education, in the New York city area or elsewhere? My mother has been searching for employment in Indiana for YEARS and haven't found a single opening, despite the fact that she has been teaching even before I was born and has all her degrees, license, and credentials. Its rather saddening that a woman of such intelligent is keeping herself in an area that has no opening all the while we continue to live and struggle for an opening that may or may not come too late.
The reason I came to this area of the forum for question is the simple fact that we do have some family in the area (I have to ask my mother again where EXACTLY) and I was wondering, in an comparison, how the teaching and hiring in this state was compared to things here in the midwest. Any type of information is appreciated and I thank you for taking the time and reading this post.
