I am a 24 year old undergrad student. My mother is 57 and my father is 54. They still love to learn new things, read books, travel, go to museums, listen to different types of music, and meet new people.

Here's what great about the internet. You dont have to go back to school. Just Google the topic and learn from there. With your parents in their 50's they may not feel comfortable with all the aspects of the internet. I have friends in their 40's who've called me to explain mp3's. So youre question should be towards 45 and older.

I'm 48. I got my college degree (bachelors) when I was 33. I still love learning new things. Any topic that interests me, I will look up on the internet or get books and read about it. I also still go to museums, etc to learn and see the beautiful exhibits.
