Hello.

Does anyone know if there is an entrance to the GWB going southbound on the Henry Hudson from Dyckman St. or the Cloisters? I know you can exit the GWB and go north (towards uptown NYC/upstate NY), but don't know if you can enter the GWB coming from that direction.

Usually I take Broadway down to the entrance on W. 179th, but the traffic is generally bad, and am trying to see if there's an alternate route. Thanks.

Yes, there is a GWB exit southbound -- a double left lane exit. It puts you out at a stop sign at Riverside Drive. You turn right, and then right at the light, and you are on the bridge ramp. It's right by Columbia Hospital/NY Psychiatric Institute, if you're familiar with the area.

I think I know the area you're talking about - it's around 168th st. or so, correct? And I think that's where one would get off, from the lower level of the bridge.

I'll give it a try one morning or afternoon when I have extra time. Thanks!

That's correct -- right near 168th. The entrance ramp is just above where the LL ramp meets Riverside. The HH exit is just above that by a block or so.
