It's alright..I would just stay away from the housing projects...it's mostly 2 and 3 family homes...kinda far from the city IMO...very working class..always has been.

Depends who you ask. Yes, you will find the ghetto types there. The types that hang in front of bodegas and those that put speakers up to their apartment windows. If you're from the Bronx you should be able to tolerate it. I would agree with the others,avoid the projects.

Looks ghetto to me, although not to the same extent as many other bronx hoods.

Just like anywhere in NYC around the projects IS sketchy. With that said Castle Hill is a nice blue collar neighborhood. Anybody that tells you otherwise is another Bronx fear monger that really needs to get out more often.
