after all those hound dogs blessed those hydrants now you can drink from them... Would you drink it. I wonder if Bloomie does.

I would be more worried about the fecal count on the handles of all those drinking fountains or some kid with TB locking his mouth around the spout.

Well there is no difference from the water in the fire hydrant than the water coming out of your tap. The fire hydrant taps into the same water line as your faucet does...it might even be safer as it is not traveling through potentially old lead pipes in your building.

It's a little different because usually people got extra filters in their
own home. But then I've been drinking waters from those drinking
fountains in school and the public parks growing up, and never got
sick because of it.

Well if you have an extra filter then yes, it would be different. If you simply drink out of the tap, like alot of people, then there is no difference.

one time I was in central park and their was someone letting their dog drink water from the public fountain and the dog was licking away at the spout.
I was next.
after I saw that I said I'll pass.
