The War of 1812 didn't involve Hawaii. Keep up, please.

The question is, has Mayor Bloomberg weighed in on this issue yet?

Didn't the British bomb Hawaii during the Franco-Prussian War of 1812? I believe they were firing on Hawaii from Fort Sumpter. Nathan Hale, a Hawaiian patriot famously said during the bombing: "Give me a Mai-Tai, my throat is parched."
After the bombing "The Mai-Tai was still there" and that prompted Francis Scott Key to write the theme from Hawaii-Five-O.

The British invaded the U.S. and burnt down the white house. Enemies have attacked U.S. Soil before.

Upon further consideration, perhaps I'm on the Mayor's side after all. We should no longer refer to the site of the World Trade Center as "Ground Zero." Instead, I propose (the envelope, please)...
