I don't know if this is allowed but I am going to be renting an apartment for a month in July. It is in Fort Greene, Brooklyn (s. Portland and LaFayette). The landlady has agreed to let me have someone have a peek at it to verify that it is a real place (worried about getting ripped-off). My friend was going to do it but he is pretty busy this week. Can anyone do this for me? I'll pay you ( name your price) via Paypal or we can meet up when I get to NYC in July (you probably would prefer Paypal though )

Please message me if you can do this.
If this is a real post.... You should really make an effort to see it yourself. I would never rent a place without myself or a very trustworthy friend seeing it first.
Also, if you are not moving until July, you have plenty of time to get an apartment. You don't need to rush into putting money down now, especially for a place that you haven't seen yet.
Its only a month long rental so I dont have the luxury of seeing it beforehand. I did just realize this post does look a little suspicious.
I can assure you this is not a scam. I can provide serious inquiries with my school email account, phone number, facebook account (over 500 friends), ect.

But it still doesn't make any sense that you are committing to something in September for the following July!!

or that you're asking perfect strangers to check out the apartment for you.
You should make the time (even if it's just a one-day trip) to get here, check out the place and the LL and make sure she's the owner, etc before committing. Also, how did you find an apartment in September for a one month rental the following July? Weird.
OMG..... according to your profile, you're located in/around Lexington Kentucky?? You could easily DRIVE here on a Saturday morning, check the place out, and drive back the same day.
Something is up here.................
