Hello this will be my first time in new york city. My buss arrives around 7am. I am taking megabus and am going to be dropped off at 7th ave and 28th street. I am staying at the new yorker on 8th avenue. I have two questions. Will i be okay just walking with my luggage and would i be able to roll it there or will there be too many people? Do i have to worry about my stuff getting stolen? Im used to country livkng. Any advice is helpful. Thank you. Ps sorry for typos im on my phone.

You will be fine rolling your luggage a block or two to your hotel. During the day, leave your luggage in your hotel room. Do not carry it around everywhere

Don't worry...you will be fine rolling along with your gear as long as you can carry it all for a half mile. Yes the crowds are immense along Penn Station.
If the stuff is very heavy, consider a cab...the short trip won't cost much more than 5 or 6 bucks.

You'll see many other people rolling luggage as well. Don't worry.

Also, since you are used to country living you may not know that you can leave your luggage with the bellman at the hotel until check-in time. Your room will probably not be ready when you arrive.

next time take BoltBus if you can. Better than mega and they stop at 8th ave right where you're staying depending where you're coming from.
