So I'm taking this girl on a date, and I have a few cool places to go, but I need something else to complement the night. I was looking at "The After Party" (old fashioned broadway style open mic, or so I've been told) but was sad to hear it was no longer running. Does anyone know of any classy/cool/fun places to take a girl? Preferably something we can duck out of if we want and in midtown. Oh, and she's 18, so no bars. Thanks in advance!

There are nice restaurants that are not pricey that you can take her to as well. Some restaurant row places are great and there are some nice cafes in the West village. A museum is a good date idea as well.

Go for some Artichoke Bassille pizza on the west side, then for a romantic stroll along Highline Park, just above.

What day of the week is it ?

MoMA is open later on Friday and it is FREE.

The Met is open late on Saturday night.

The Guggenheim also has an "event" night, could be Friday ...? Music and DJ, don't know if you need to be of legal drinking age.

The Cooper Hewitt has something as well.

If it is a Saturday, as in this Saturday, PS1 has a DJ event, "Warm-up." I think this is the last week. It ends at 9 PM.

I just realized that you said midtown, which means MoMA.
