Why would I want to do that? Be pretty boring as I live within my means unlike many here.

Simple, ages old formula that we have gotten away from. Housing expenses {rent or mortgage+utils} should be no greater than 25% of your net household income. Simple.

Actually,I am keeping it under 20% . 25% seems a little on the high side to me.
