Hi,

My girlfriend and I are moving to NYC from nowhere Texas and we are looking for a lesbian friendly neighborhood. We want a neighborhood that is vibrant, fun, artsy, and multicultural. WE are a mixed race couple (mexican/irish and filipino). We want a neighborhood where we can walk down the street holding hands and make friends in the community.

Oh we also want nearby public transportation. We are both wanting to sell are cars before moving to nyc, thanks.

There are several places that fit that description, it all depends on what you can afford. Do you have jobs lined up here?

So true, NYC is a gay-friendly city- and you can even get married there now

Let's see...NYC, gay-friendly, close to public transportation, hmmm....OH I KNOW! Pretty much EVERYWHERE!

Just being a wiseass. But hey--it IS NYC--a place known for its public transportation system and the fact that you could walk down the street with three heads and your arm around an orangutan and no one would look at you twice. OK, don't live on Staten Island. That still leaves four other boroughs.

If you want responses you are going to have to provide some specifics as to your budget and maybe where you will be working.
