Heck yes!!!! There's a great playground along the Hudson River. Go to Jane St, cross the West Side Hgwy and just keep heading west.

Across from Chelsea Piers there is a cool modern playground.

For the perfect NYC playground experience, and where you might run into a celeb, there is the Bleeker Street playground . You can find it where Hudson Street is about to intersect with Bleeker St. While there, you will be near the famous Magnolia Bakery which has nothing special cupcakes. Tour buses stop there all the time, and I don't get it. The playground won't disappoint though.

If you want to head further downtown, one of my favorites is in Battery Park City and it's call the Rockefeller Playground. It' very nice.

Have fun.

Super! Thanks. I think I saw the pics of the Bleeker St playground on google, and it looked really nice. I'll be near Washington Sq as well.
