More bank branches open. More facilities and services are available. That is happening throughout the Bronx, even in the South Bronx. I've seen Planet Fitness from the 2 train going through the South Bronx, with a number of other stores.
Yup, and people fail to realize this.

because the prior residents don't matter,
but they were the main ones that deserved
better accommodations in the first place.

So true. The city is not what it used to be.

"Diversity" is good.

"Gentrification" is not.

Gentrification typically diversifies a neighborhood. Name me one neighborhood in NYC which is less diverse due to it.

So-called "Nolita."

So-called "Noho."

The Lower East Side.

Most of the East Village, although small groups have stuck it out.

I mean ... are you serious ? Although you do not specify what you mean by "diversity." Economic ? Some sort of race criteria ? Because diversity regarding both vastly declined in the areas I mention.

Call it whatever you want. NYC has been played out by Midwestern and Western culture.
